What: Myeloma is a disease in your bone marrow. Inside your bone marrow are the cells that make your blood, your red cells, your white cells, and your platelets. This plays a key role in maintaining the strength of the bone.

Why: There have been several recent breakthroughs for the treatment of multiple myeloma patients that have lead to new therapeutic options. There are a number of new drugs in development.
