In response to NBC News Special Correspondent Tom Brokaw’s announcement that he has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare blood cancer of malignant cells found in the bone marrow, leading physician Dr. James Berenson is encouraged that Mr. Brokaw is receiving treatment and that he was brave enough to bring attention to this disease.

Based in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Berenson leads a team of dedicated scientists with extensive expertise in cancer research, particularly in the fields of metastatic cancer, cancer genetics, hematology, cellular interactions with the environment, myeloma and other bone cancers.
